IN early 2000, after spending 10 years in professional sports and traveling the world, I thought it was time to get serious and settle into a career…
I’d been an Expert in the sporting arena, but the business world was completely different.
After starting dozens of new ideas, with no real results or growth, I knew I had to go back to the drawing board and double down on myself before I’d ever be paid as an Expert again. This led me to study Copywriting, Direct Response Marketing, Product Launch Management, Business Strategy, Positioning and of course, all the mindset work required to deliver…
It was 2009 before the results started flowing, yet almost immediately after the worst year of my life, 6-Figure product launches landed one after another, then 7-figure business builds, mentoring and consulting.
The work had paid off…
In those early years of 2009-2013, I worked deep in the trenches, 1:1 with Experts in their field. I settled into this method of serving others and learned this was the way to create my Impact in the world, by empowering other Experts to create theirs.
I don’t want to be a star, my skill is in creating them.
But what I’ve seen since starting is that a lot of Experts are becoming stuck.
They come online and ‘step backwards’, thinking they need to learn everything from scratch vs staying the Expert, gaining high level advice and using that to accelerate and multiply their results fast…
My advice to Experts since 2009 has been STOP studying everything! Stay in your genius zone and access an Expert that’s traveled the road you wish to travel.
Consistently hitting your business financiall goals is completely possible without having to sacrifice your livelihood.
